THE STORY

Brother.png

Throughout time, the battles between brothers have been the thing of legend.  In the rust belt city of Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, nothing exemplifies this more than the grudge match between two city schools, Meyers and G.A.R. Memorial.  For 87 years this rivalry has captivated the city, bringing together the community, and dividing families, and it is coming to an end.

When the school board recently voted to merge the neighborhood schools to form a new consolidated area high school, the people of Wilkes-Barre became divided - some are in favor of this consolidation, while others organized as S.O.S. (Save Our Schools) continue to fight to keep these storied institutions intact.

Hustle and Harmony is a film about these communities, the change they've experienced, and the traditions they seek to save.
